WE DO MORE THAN SEND SUPPORT
Good Shepherd Mission connects frontline missionaries among the nations with believers and churches on the backline, one to one. Beyond a single gift, we build lifelong mission partnerships that share prayer, encouragement, and love.

GSM began through the prayer and dedication of missionaries Sun Kyu Hwang and Bu Hee Hwang.
Six frontline missionaries and eleven backline partners began walking together in 1:1 partnership.
We serve the gospel alongside 1,020 missionaries in 114 countries.

A MESSAGE FROM THE INTERNATIONAL DIRECTOR
“We long to see frontline missionaries and backline partners pray for one another, encourage one another, and share Christ’s love as we move together toward the fulfillment of global mission.”
GSM serves as a bridge, connecting missionaries who proclaim the gospel among the nations with committed partners. Through World Mission Conferences, Mission Nights, and monthly intercession gatherings, the frontline and backline become one in the mission that delights the Lord.

Mission is not only the work of a few people far away. It is one person’s prayer and love sustaining the life of one missionary.
What a frontline missionary needs most is more than one-time assistance. They need someone who will weep, pray, and walk faithfully with them for years. A backline partner is not merely a donor, but a fellow worker who shares in the fruit of the gospel.
GSM’s 1:1 partnership connects people personally. When we remember one another by name, share prayer requests, and walk through both joy and hardship together, mission becomes sustainable through relationship. One faithful partner strengthens one missionary, and one strengthened missionary can transform a community.
Missionary Kyungsik Kim · GSM International DirectorThe church is a community called out of the world and, at the same time, sent back into the world.
Jesus did not pray that His disciples would be taken out of the world. He prayed that they would be sanctified in truth and sent into the world. A missional church does not turn away from the world, yet never loses its identity in the gospel.
We are sent to reveal the love of Jesus in our homes, workplaces, neighborhoods, and among the nations. Mission is not limited to a special event. Embracing one soul and living out the gospel in everyday life is participation in God’s mission.
Missionary Kyungsik Kim · GSM International DirectorPrayer reaches places we cannot go and guards the path of missionaries even when we are unaware of their need.
The needs of the mission field cannot be met by finances alone. Missionaries need ongoing intercession for courage to proclaim the gospel, health in unfamiliar environments, peace for their families, and trust with local communities.
On the second Thursday of every month, GSM’s global intercession gathering unites the frontline and the backline in prayer. The simple obedience of praying for one person by name allows us to participate in God’s great work among the nations.
